LG Video Wall Solutions

LG video walls use a unique brightness and colour calibration algorithm for true vibrance.

Their scan inversion technology ensures no gap in content delivery. Their remote control services enable countermeasures to be implemented before product problems arise.

Why Choose LG Video Walls?

The bezel thickness is a basic specification for video wall products. It defines how smooth the screens appear when put together. LG video walls have 0.44 mm bezels. This allows the creation of big screens with a 0.88 mm bezel-to-bezel spacing.

The bezel is visible as a line but it never interferes with the content display, making it the best-optimised video wall solution.

LG Video Wall Solutions Have A Wide Range Of Applications?

Picture Quality

Due to the time delay of video scanning, playing fast-moving videos on the monitor’s edge causes a video gap (approximately one frame = 16.7 ms).

Using LG video wall’s Scan Inversion technology, you can play quick video content with nearly no visual gaps.

Maintenance

You can conduct maintenance work more easily and swiftly if you sign up for LG’s optional and supplemental cloud service solution, Signage 365 Care.

Fault diagnostic and remote control services enable countermeasures to be implemented before product problems arise, allowing for speedy resolution. This allows for more stable operation and lowers costs associated with display malfunction.

White Balance Competence

When employing video walls as one large screen, brightness homogeneity within and between panels is critical.

LG video walls increased the brightness uniformity of the panel. They did so by employing a brightness and colour calibration algorithm.

If the brightness uniformity is low around the video wall’s bezel thresholds, the panels’ borders seem darker on large screens. As a result, this is a crucial consideration when selecting a video wall. The SVH7F series maintains overall brightness uniformity while displaying a vivid colour by improving uniformity in all four corners. Factory Calibration calibrates video walls throughout the manufacturing process. Site Calibration calibrates video walls following module installation and maintenance on-site.

Factory Calibration is used to calibrate the product’s colour, temperature and brightness for the same target. Site Calibration is required because LCD modules have property deviations (Cell Gap, Color Filter, time to stabilise the LED backlight, etc.), and each customer may want different colour temperatures. LG has included SuperSign WB for calibration, using colour sensors.

Consistent Colour

On a large screen, darker edges caused by poor uniformity around bezel limits need to look nicer.

The VSH7J series, on the other hand, has improved uniformity, even within the display’s four corners, to give vibrant and consistent colour throughout the entire screen.

Wide Viewing Angle

LG IPS panel technology permits better control of liquid crystals, enabling almost unlimited viewing angles.

Due to this, the VSH7J series draws in and captivates more viewers with lifelike colours regardless of the viewer’s position.

A Higher Vantage Point

Since large screens are typically placed above eye level, video walls must have uniform picture quality. The VSH7J series’ viewing angle is wide enough to exhibit vibrant colours without distortion over the entire screen.

No Panel Glare

Viewers may become irritated by needless light reflection when looking at a screen in bright settings.

By raising the degree of haze in the VSH7J series to 28%, this problem was fixed, improving visibility and text legibility.

High Scalability

The VSH7J series can do numerous jobs simultaneously and provide smooth content playing without needing a media player because of its built-in SoC and webOS smart signage platform.

Simple Menus

The menu layout has been tailored for use in businesses. It adopts a more user-friendly GUI for simplicity and combines related functions to simplify approach flows.

Users can manage displays and explore desired functions without making mistakes in this way.

Flexible Content

Web apps allow for the simultaneous playback of four distinct videos and the addition of various animation effects to content utilising CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) transition effects.

Also available is real-time streaming*, which offers the freedom to arrange and diversify content without concern for storage space restrictions.

Portrait GUI

The traditional GUI (Graphic User Interface) was created with consumer TV usage in mind, which meant that OSD (On Screen Display) could have been better for portrait-oriented screens.

However, the OSD of the VSH7J series features a long-range menu with larger text sizes and a 9:16 ratio, fostering a welcoming and productive office environment.

Daisy Chaining

Using a LAN daisy chain, you may simultaneously control, monitor, and update the firmware of many video walls.

Additionally, you may put up a UHD video wall without a DisplayPort MST or Matrox graphics card utilising a UHD daisy chain combining HDMI and DisplayPort.

Below are a range of rough estimates of average comfortable viewing distances based on pixel pitch and display size. Please note that these are just rough estimates, and the actual comfortable viewing distance may vary depending on the specific circumstances and preferences of the viewer.

Pixel Pitch (mm) Average Comfortable Viewing Distance (feet)
0.6 2.5-5.25
1.0 3.5-6.75
1.5 4.5-9.75
2.0 5.5-11.25
3.0 8.5-18.75
4.0 11.5-24.75
5.0 13.5-30.75
6.0 15.5-35.75
8.0 20.5-45.75
10.0 25.5-56.25
